To say goodbye is hard and cruel
And pulls on beauty's strings
Earth's battle keeps on raging forth
While you strain the chords to sing

Your voice grows hoarser still
And your feet feel bruised and broken
Your struggles seem a mindless thrill
As help remains unspoken

Despite these things, remember to

Have hope, sing loud, and dance your tune
For the darkness will subside
Take faith in what you know is true
And see life through God's eyes

For now is not the end of things
There's so much more to come our way
Sing out to Christ, embrace your joy
And wait for our Lord God to say,
"Welcome to your heaven,
This is the promised land,
Go find your brothers and sisters,
Take them by the hand."

This life we live is filled with doubts
And sufferings untold
Our friends and families come and go
Which makes life seem so cold

What warmth we have may seem to fade
Before it's in our grasp
Our journeys grow before our feet
and shadows haunt our path

But always remember to

Have hope, sing loud, and dance your tune

Such a time shall meet us soon
In a place so far from here
So listen for those angel's songs
And wipe away your tears

For now is not the end of things
God's glory soon will come our way
I'll join you at those pearly gates
And hear our Jesus say,
"Welcome to your heaven,"
as He'll us by the hand
We'll find our brothers and sisters
And stay with our Lord Christ forever
Within our promised land
